Your Face
Chapter 5
By Crystal

**Georgia**

She looked around and saw nothing but golden yellow every way she turned. It was as if someone painted the earth with the sun's glorious hue. She stood in awe at her beautiful surroundings. With every glance she saw more and more beauty, enveloping her in its warm glow. She walked for what seemed like miles, the view never changing. After a while, she felt lost. Alone.

"Hello?" she called out. "Hey, is anybody out here? I'm lost. Anyone?"

"You're lost too?" came a voice from behind. Georgia turned around and found a tall young man standing inches away from her. She opened her mouth to say something, but her eyes soon out-spoke her. She gazed into his ocean eyes and slowly closed her mouth.

"Too?" she asked softly.

"I thought I was lost. I felt lost. But I don't feel lost anymore."

"Neither do I. I feel right at home," and she meant it. Suddenly the warm glow embraced her again and the lonely feelings subsided. "We've never met before," she said, unsure of her own thoughts.

"No, we haven't. But why do I feel like… are you okay?"

Georgia suddenly wrapped her arms around her waist and fell to the ground. "What? What's happening? What is going on?"

"I'll check in on her in a few minutes" said Doctor Lynn as she tore off her worn out scrubs. It had been a close call, almost too close. The young girl's heart was so close to flatlining…. 'She's too young' the elderly woman said to herself. 'Such a tragedy.'

"I'm here to check up on a patient. Georgia Robinson."

"And you are?"

"My name is Thomas Kane. I'm a close friend of Georgia's."

"I'm sorry sir but we can only give out information to the immediate family" said the nurse sitting behind the desk at the ER.

Thomas sighed. "She has no family. She has no one. Look, I understand that the hospital has procedures. Since Georgia has no family I would like to be responsible for her hospital bills. My information is here on this card. When you can give me an update on her condition, please do so."

"Yes Sir."

"Thank you." Thomas buttoned up his jacket and exited the hospital.

Georgia laid in a patch of sunflowers with her eyes closed. She couldn't remember ever feeling better in her entire life. She felt so free, so alive. She didn't know why she felt like this, but she was loving every moment.

Then she felt the presence of another person. She slowly opened her eyes, leaned up and looked ahead of her.
